Junior UI/UX Designer
This position is for a User Interface (UI) Designer interested in data driven websites and applications. The ideal candidate is exceptional at creating clean, precise design, has superior technical design skills, and can take ideas and transform them into beautiful, intuitive, and functional user interfaces.
You will be responsible for the look and feel, information flows or wireframes, and visual aesthetics of our projects, and work closely with our engineers to implement the designs. You will be working in a close, collaborative environment with our Design Director (to whom you will report), Developers and Managers to come up with clean, highly polished user experiences for web and mobile platforms. You ideally have some experience designing for mobile apps, websites, and games, and have the ability to create art assets/icons that match existing branding. This is an opportunity to build high-quality products from the ground up with a great team. The candidate should bring strong vision and a penchant for applying new technologies for Web applications.
Position is on contract basis for first 6-months and will likely transition to full-time for right candidate.
This applicant should take initiative for introducing new opportunities in development, be unafraid to speak up, and know when to put their head down to work in a time-sensitive crunch. While always being respectful, they’re not opposed to the use of highly profane language while maintaining a professional demeanor. A constant learner, this person stays on top of blogs, news and books relevant to their industry. They must be self-taught in something--we don’t care if it’s guitar or the language of Mandarin.
This person should be open to accepting all genres of people with no regard to gender orientation, ethnicity or belief.
